Bonucci close to joining AC Milan from Juventus

AC Milan will complete a deal to sign Leonardo Bonucci from Juventus on Friday for £35.2m plus £1.7m in add-ons, Sky Sports reports.

Bonucci will sign a five-year contract and will earn £110,000 a week after tax.

Chelsea and Manchester City had been interested in signing Bonucci last summer, but the player does not want to leave Italy for personal reasons.

The 30-year-old has scored 18 goals in 300 appearances for Juve since signing from Bari in August 2010.

Bonucci has been a regular in the Juventus side that has swept all before them in Italy in recent years, winning the Italian title for the last six seasons.

He has also won the Coppa Italia on three occasions but his last match for the Turin side came at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff in May, where he was part of the side beaten 4-1 by Real Madrid in the Champions League final.
