A clinic in Lekki Stage 1, Lagos, Vedic Lifecare, has said that two of its staff tried positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19). 

The medical clinic the board in an announcement on Monday, said its staff gotten the malady in the wake of treating a patient who later tried positive for COVID-19. 

The administration said its office has been shut for purification while the contaminated staff have been taken to a detachment community oversaw by the Nigeria Place for Malady Control (NCDC). 

"Dear clients and guests. Around 10 days prior, we had an in-understanding who later tried positive for COVID 19 after release. According to conventions set by NCDC we have tried our staff who have interacted with the COVID positive patient and tragically, we have had 2 staff individuals who tried positive yesterday," it said. 

"The patient and our staff are presently being overseen by the NCDC at their segregation place. Till this second they don't show any side effects. According to the administration COVlD-19 administration convention the office is presently shut off for sterilization of the structure and the fumigation exercises." 

The announcement by the clinic read: "Roughly 10 days back, we had an in-tolerant who later tried positive for COVID 19 after release. According to conventions set by NCDC we have tried our staff who have interacted with the covid positive patient and sadly, we have had 2 staff individuals who tried positive yesterday. 

"The patient and our staff are presently being overseen by the NCDC at their separation place. Till this second they don't show any side effects." 

The administration said other staff individuals were being tried and that the clinic could be revived in days. 

"According to the Administration COVID-19 administration convention, the office is as of now deterred for disinfecting of the structure and the fumigation exercises. This may take up to 3 — 4 days. 

"We are right now testing the rest of the staff individuals from the emergency clinic and we will keep on refreshing everybody once the testing closes and the medical clinic can revive. PPEs were made compulsory for staff individuals for as long as month."
